Ristaurante Costa Smeralda in Traben-Trarbach

Very friendly, very good pizza, no long wait. I can only recommend it! Not as unfriendly as the lady at the door in the Panorama restaurant, 50 m further ahead.

We were in the restaurant around 4:00 p.m. and wanted to reserve a table for 7:00 p.m. We were told that it wasn't necessary and that we should just come over. When we got to the restaurant at 7:00 p.m. we were rudely advised by an employee that nothing was available and that we should come back later.

They have super delicious pizza and various other Italians. SPECIALTIES. Furthermore, nice service. Everything great.

I didn't even get there. what an arrogant pipo on the phone. a wood oven on the street side to lure people (which they clearly cannot work with, judging by the reviews). if you don't like making food, kick it off and start making tea lights.

We had to wait over 1 hour for our order ... it would have been nice if we had been told that beforehand. The food was good.

The salad was okay and the waiter friendly. Due to the defective (furniture, chairs !!) and less beautiful ambience on the outside terrace, there are only 3 stars. There is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of presentation, decoration, and feel-good factor!

We were with four people in this pizzeria and had i.a. ordered a pizza with tuna and two vegetarian pizzas with tomatoes, broccoli, spinach and mushrooms. The tuna pizza was filled at random, and one of the vegetarian pizzas was completely missing broccoli and spinach, and contained four leaves of basil and plenty of fatty cheese as a substitute. All drinks were served open in the glass (no beer), although the quality is not understandable. That was not a good day for people who consciously want to eat and drink and will probably never be considered again on further visits to this city.

No way to eat here !!! The waitresses were very unfriendly, the tables were very dirty (they were halfway cleaned with a dirty cloth). We'd have to wait 1 hour for our spaghetti and in the end we both got something completely different from what we ordered (and didn't look particularly good🤢). The waitress didn't apologize to us. We wanted to leave the restaurant and one of the waitresses told us that we had already ordered, so we weren't allowed to go and that our food "maybe" will come. We lost our appetites for the whole story!

I wanted to eat here with my girlfriend after a day of hiking. Unfortunately, this didn't even happen. The terrace area offers a beautiful view. That's why we weren't put off by the lack of cleanliness at first. But no sooner had we sat down and received our drinks than an apparently acquaintance of the waitresses sat down at the table next to us. The three of them started arguing about something in a very aggressive tone. Then we looked for a new place, because we didn't feel like being in such a negative mood. When we had waited about 50 minutes, my friend asked where the food was. The waitress reacted very sloppily. After about an hour of waiting, the food came. Unfortunately, it just wasn't what we ordered at all. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she took the plates with her without a word and with an angry expression. Then we paid for our drinks and left the restaurant. Here the waitresses became very unfriendly. At this point I think it's a shame that you don't have the option to assign zero stars here. They definitely don't deserve that one star.

The one star is already too many. The service cheeky and snappy. The order for food had been a long time. It was 1 hour before the food came. And worst of all, the pizza was ice cold. This place is not recommended. You are treated as a customer as if you were dirty.

The pizza was delicious and served 20 minutes after ordering. However, the mussels that should have been on my pizza variant were missing. Of course, it could also be that they were over, but that should have been communicated. I didn't complain because we were really hungry and didn't want to wait any longer. We found the restaurant to be quite okay, although some criticisms from the previous reviewers were recognizable in the beginning.

Good food, good service, nice view. I don't understand what everyone is nagging about the service because it was all great. Maybe music a bit too loud but that was all.

The food was okay or it tasted good. But that's about all. You felt undesirable as a guest. The menu arrived quickly, then it took a while. When guests next to us were just arriving and were about to place their orders two minutes later, we asked when we could place our order. The guests next to us were grateful that they didn't have to make up their minds immediately. The waitress took our order very listlessly and was very grumpy. It then took an extremely long time for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was not even half full.

Unfortunately, you can only assign one star, and no star would be more appropriate. As a guest you are perceived as annoying and very unfriendly. The private discussion between the employees was much more important than a friendly reception. Since we were not shown a table and we couldn't find a free one on our own without further ado, we left without eating.

We waited a long time for 3 pizzas, no apology even though the waitress didn't pass our order on to the "cook", so we were forgotten. Everyone drinks, nobody cares, a waitress stands bored on the wall and plays on the cell phone, although she saw that we all had! Conclusion once and never again! PLEASE CHANGE THE STAFF, UNDERGROUND!

Food was tasty. Service grumpy and curt. The map and plates were preferably thrown on the table from a distance. At checkout we shared the compliments given to the chef and the bad experience in terms of service, but received the comment from the lady that we should come and work there ourselves. Unfortunately..

Unfortunately, the not at all negative first impression is quickly destroyed by the sometimes extremely listless staff. You almost have the impression that you are actually only disturbing. Now it may be a bit more stressful at lunchtime during the high season, but perhaps this shouldn't be left out on guests so obviously. Unfortunately, it doesn't help that the food was "okay", but there is much better somewhere else.

The staff is absolutely uninterested in the guests and reluctantly takes the order. You feel like you're a disturbance rather than being welcomed. I hardly dared to ask for extra salt. The food tasted mediocre, not a disaster, but nothing special either. There are much nicer corners where the ambience is also more harmonious.

Delicious eaten

Horrible service. Guests were ignored, orders forgotten, and the staff just rolled their eyes when we asked questions. Very unfriendly atmosphere. The pizzas were decent...

Didn't eat here but owners are so unfriendly, they wouldnt even let us know if there was place and ignored us. Spare your breath and just go elsewhere

Delicious pizza and a nice view of the river but you can't pay by card , also the coffee machine didn't work.

Good food

My favorite dishes there : pasta al arabiata, very spicy and their tiramisu! Nice surroundings!

Pizza was reasonably good, not special but still ok. The lasagne probably just came form a store, wasn’t homemade. When we asked the bill, we got a handwritten piece of paper whereas the table next to ours got a digital printed receipt, wondering why the did that...

Great pizza, great view

We ordered pizza and it wasn't that hot, there were lots of gnats inside and I was afraid one was going to land on my pizza. The service wasn't too friendly. The ambiance seemed very sad as if the employees were not happy to work there.

The food was OK. Good size pizza for the price. Serving staff was uninterested and not welcoming. Basically a repeat of many of the other reviews here so I guess they're consistent?

Good pizzeria with lovely view on the driver Mosel

An average Italian restaurant with a good choice of food. The pizza I ordered was very tasty and baked perfect. I found the personell okay-ish. Neither very friendly nor unfriendly. The interior is rather corny and can use a freshening up.

This has to the worst place we have ever eaten at,Seafood pasta had no depth of flavour with seafood that was rubbery and a uncooked calzone worst ever.

My wife and I were in Traben-Trarbach yesterday, April 17th, 2018. Contrary to many negative reviews, this restaurant was open at least continuously. Others only open at 5pm. Overall, the food was not bad. and on the terrace you had a great view in great weather. I had spaghetti Bolognese and my wife a Wiener Schnitzel. Prices are in a good relationship (as I said, others have closed, save costs and still more expensive). Admittedly, the waitress isn't exactly happy with her job. So rather bored. But she wasn't rude. The toilet in the basement was very clean. But the lighting is controlled by a light sensor and turns on very late, so that you stand in the dark for quite a while.

The food, the wine and the dessert was amazing!! Wait staff understand English and the view of the river was peaceful! Will definitely come back with friends
